this is Ansanm.
still together.
Ansanm means “together” in Creole. It is our heart that through this program we will show up with families, coming alongside them where they are, and standing together with them in a variety of ways. Each partnership will look differently as the needs & strengths of each family is different, but the goal will remain the same: give life to families in Haiti through locally-led movements.
While it will look differently for each family, here are a few of the opportunities we make available through Ansanm:
education.
Supporting families in sending their children to school by providing them with tuition funds, uniforms, and supplies.
food.
Partnering with local businesses in providing meals for families, while also supporting Haitian small businesses.
mentorship.
Connecting each child with a mentor in their area — who love Jesus & love young people, providing another place of support for the child & family.
health.
Connecting families to resources that support their health — physically through access to annual check-ups; spiritually through prayer & the local church; and emotionally through opportunities to engage in therapy & family counseling.
celebrations.
We make space to celebrate. And, we go big! Beginning of a new school year, Christmas, when personal goals are met, and of course — the end of the school year. We take time to thank God, eat good food, honor, and encourage.
…and much more.
We’re open to and excited for God’s will in providing an abundance of opportunities to come alongside families.
